Who is HEINZ KRUGER?
Heinz Kruger is a Marvel Comics German spy operating during World War II. Kruger was created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, and first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941) but is not named until Captain America #109 (January 1969).
Heinz Kruger was a Nazi agent, who went to america to infiltrate a top-secret military base.
After observing the success of the creation of America's first Super-Soldier, Kruger assassinated Dr Erskine the man who created the process to prevent him to create an army of enhanced soldiers.
Heinz Kruger attempted to escape, but he was caught off guard by the newly transfored Steve Rogers who charged after him, next thing he knows he was hurling towards Professor Erskine's electric Omniverter. He was electrocuted and killed.

Like Abraham Erskine, the role of Heinz Kruger, Nazi Spy, is integral in the Captain America mythos. Hence, he will forever be attached to the origin of the Sentinel of Liberty.

Heinz Kruger in in the film Captain America: The First Avenger where he will be portrayed by actor Richard Armitage. Similar to the comic counterpart, he assassinates Dr. Erskine shortly after the Super Soldier Serum is administered, and also stole a copy of the perfected serum. However, he is pursued and eventually captured by Rogers. Unlike the comic counterpart, however, he deliberately kills himself with a cyanide pill to avoid capture. In addition, he is instead an agent of HYDRA, which in the film is the Nazi's "Deep Science division" led by Johann Schmidt/The Red Skull.
